Who we are:
The Friends of Boasley Cross School (FOBCS) is a registered charity. Our committee is made up of a group of parent volunteers.

What we do:
FOBCS has existed for many years as active fundraisers to enable the school to purchase extra equipment/resources and to contribute to the funding of educational trips to enhance the children’s learning. The committee meets once every half term, usually at 8pm in The Clovelly Inn. We are a very friendly and welcoming group, our meetings are relaxed and we love to welcome new members as we always need fresh ideas and help with events. If you would like more information, please contact the school on 01837 871362.

Fundraising Events

We are always looking for new ideas for fundraisers but these are a few which we hold on an annual basis with the generous support of Boasley families and the local community:

Autumn Term: FOBCS Annual Sponsored Walk. Family and friends join a walk of the Pack Horse Trail and enjoy refreshments at Bratton Parish Hall upon completion.

Christmas: FOBCS sell 'Festive Fundraisers' and refreshments at the school Christmas Play.

Easter: FOBCS put on an Easter Fair with an Easter Egg Hunt for all the children.

Summer Sports Day: FOBCS  provide refreshments and a range of stalls to suit all.

We are proud to have helped to fund many things for the children of Boasley Cross school, including the following:
  • Apple iPad Minis
  • Various events, including several theatre trips
  • A Roman Visitor to enrich a school Roman project
  • A visit from Author Clive Pig
  • High quality picnic benches for the garden area
  • Adventure Okehampton activities – Kayaking/Rafting/Low Ropes/Archery
  • Leavers Hoodies for the year 6 pupils
